Homespun Pizza in Walden, VT makes the best pizza in Vermont
Our pizza is handspun, homemade with a slightly sweet sauce and soft, bready basil crust.
Times are changing and the Walden Store has to change with the times, becoming a hybrid Pizza Shop/Store is how we are doing it.
We also are offering free wireless internet access with a public computer or bring your own laptop. The Walden Store has gas, and off road diesel and the Vast Trail runs right by the gas pumps.
We are getting ready for a good snowmobile season and if your crusining through walden make sure you stop by and try the pizza!
1949 -58 years ago Albert (Cub) and Leona Davidson built a filling station and garage on Route 15. Sometime very soon after that they built the attached living space. It was leased to Phillip and Marion Hanchett in 1958 unil 1959 when the Davidsons swapped it for a farm with Jack and Ruth burbank. The Burbanks added a Grocery line, and a beer license, closed the garage section, and turned that into store space.
More about our History...
After this weekend and having Pizza at the new addition Homespun, I have to say its no joke that this place has the best pizza I have ever had... ever! They could take it somewhere big, and add a Black Fly draft to it and it was the BEST meal. I fed 6 people for 50 bucks, what a bonus that you can fuel up your sled, and then sit down and have dinner!
